Carers Bucks
If you are looking after someone on a regular basis who is not able to manage without you due to illness, frailty, or disability, then you are a carer and Carers Bucks can support you in your caring role.
They offer information, advice, guidance, and emotional support to unpaid carers from age 5 to 95+, working closely with schools, GP practices, hospitals and social care to ensure unpaid carers are well supported in all communities.
From trips out in school holidays, to cream teas in Carers Week, from life skills sessions to planning for an emergency, Carers Bucks will tailor their support to the carer’s own needs, including delivering support groups where you can build up a network of peer support.
For more information, contact Carers Bucks on 0300 777 2722, on mail@carersbucks.org or visit the website at www.carersbucks.org.
No matter how long you have been a carer, or who you care for, Carers Bucks is there to support you.
The Carers Trust survey found that 40% of young carers and 59% of young adult carers say their mental health is worse since Coronavirus.
To support young carers and young adult carers with their mental wellbeing, Carers Bucks are running wellness workshops throughout the year, which have been designed to encourage carers to look after their own wellbeing whilst in a caring role. If you feel that your young carer or young adult carer could benefit from attending a session, get in touch with Carers Bucks on 0300 777 2722.
