The site of 181 new homes off High Wycombe’s A40 London Road is set to be extended if new plans are approved.
Fresh proposals to redevelop Kingsmead Business Park have been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council this week.
PJK Mead Ltd has applied to construct 24 new ‘self-contained’ flats at the business hub, by extending into the roofs of two of the five office blocks.
The applicant’s plans would see a new floor added to the top of Windsor Court to provide five one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom units.
The other additional storey would be added to the top of Buckingham Court to provide seven one-bedroom and four two-bedroom flats.
Plans for one of the new floors read: “The proposed roof extension includes dormer-style additions designed to increase headroom and enhance natural light within the space.
“Skylights have been incorporated to further boost natural light into the deeper areas of the roof space.”
The council approved PJK Mead’s original plans to turn the business park’s five ‘courts’ or office blocks into 181 flats in August.
Wycombe’s mayor Nathan Thomas welcomed the arrival of the new flats, saying it was ‘encouraging to see brownfield sites being explored first for future housing options’.
PJK Mead was set up as a company just months before it submitted its plans to redevelop the business park to the council in July.
The firm is a joint venture between Jansons Property and the billionaire Pears family of the William Pears Group.
