Thanks and Praise (TAP), is a virtual thanking platform that has arrived in Bucks
The platform lets people personally thank the staff in hospitals, nurseries and schools in their local area. As well as setting up public digital thanking walls, for residents to add messages onto.
The program has already been successful at Elengani School in Amersham, with The governors sharing this message on the schools, 'Thanking Wall', set up by TAP:
"Dear all staff, Thank you for all your hard work and commitment towards helping everyone get through this tough time. Your speedy reaction to getting online learning set up was amazing - thank you! Please take care of yourselves."
Bucks born James Mcloughlin is part of the TAP team, and explains why he is so passionate on spreading this scheme out in the county. "TAP was created to thank all key workers across the UK, however, as someone who is born and bred in Buckinghamshire, and have family who still live here, its important to me that TAP benefits the Bucks community. I have benefitted from great teachers, and access to great healthcare while growing up in Amersham, and my family continues to do so."
TAP don't want to stop when the pandemic is over, and plan on running long after, celebrating and thanking key workers and places of work way into the future.
If you or your children want to thank somewhere in Bucks, follow this link and Thanks And Praise will do all the leg work for you.
