As lots of places will be letting off fireworks this weekend, pet owners have been issued some advice by Bucks Council on keeping their furry friends safe and stress free.
Fireworks can be a potentially traumatic experience for our animals, so if you have a dog (or any animal), here are some tips to keep them calm this Guy Fawkes.
• Walk dogs during the day, before fireworks go off.
• Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound of fireworks
• Put on some music or tv to mask the firework sounds
• Create a quiet space where your dog can feel in control
• Stay calm, as your emotions can influence your pet
And remember it is illegal to light a firework after midnight on November 5th.
