Emmett’s Genies are looking for people with all types of skills and knowledge to help achieve their goal.
Emmett’s Genies was founded to help bring some Magic into the lives of children with serious or life-limiting conditions by granting wishes.
Amy Scullard from Aylesbury, who started the charity, based on her families experience with their son Emmett, told us about the her ultimate goal for the charity.
"To have a 'Wish Village' in the UK, that's a village that critically ill children and their families can visit and have a once in a lifetime fairytale week away, and whatever they want would be granted!"
Amy said she understands this dream will need a lot of hard work and dedication for everyone involved, this is why they would love volunteers with different skills and knowledge.
Some of the fields they are looking for volunteers in are:
- Fundraising
- People and volunteers
- Engagement and networking
- Finance
- Technology
- Assurance
Volunteers with a penchant for technology will be helping the charity develop an app, that can be used by children in hospital. It will let children play, draw and use their imagination, and in turn, help the charity with ideas for their Wish Village!
