The Aylesbury Hundreds Rotary Club are taking the new year to encourage new and young members.
Their junior Rotary club called 'Interact', works with Aylesbury Vale academy to help younger people get involved with the club, here is Vice President of the club Charles Chaney explaining exactly why the youth club is great for the older members.
"We're getting a bit older and can't do all the things we used to do - certainly the hands on things. We need younger members in, and if we can train them up from scratch that's even better."
He also told us the great work the younger members of the rotary club have been doing
"The first project they got involved with was filling up shoe boxes, and they (the boxes) go over to children in Eastern Europe who are orphans. The kids really got behind that and filled up in excess of 200 boxes!"
The club are hoping to expand their partnership with young people across Aylesbury this year, by introducing and meeting more schools to work alongside.
