It happened between 8.15pm and 9.25pm on Wednesday 13 April, in the car park of Tesco.

The offender approached the victim, a woman in her fifties, who was parked to the right hand of the store in the staff bays. He pushed her into the boot of the car, a red Honda Civic, and took her mobile phone, as well as attempting to take her hand bag from her shoulder.

The offender then dropped the phone and ran away, the victim sustained bruising to her left eye and a split upper lip during the incident.

The offender is described as white man, in his thirties, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and skinny. He had brown-wispy, messy, facial air, and was wearing dark-coloured clothing including a hooded top with the hood up, khaki-coloured trousers and brown or grey boots.

Investigating officer, PC Abby Nascimento, based at Aylesbury police station, said:

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.
