Aylesbury Police warn of rise in car thefts during summer months

They say it specially happens around our Beauty Spot locations.

Police have offered some advice for drivers in the area:

Do not leave any valuables on display in your vehicle.

Remove any Satnav holders/ring marks from your windscreen.

Leave the glove compartment open. This shows thieves that there is nothing left in there.

Ensure your vehicle is locked and all windows are closed.

Do not leave bags on show.

Remove any loose change.

If you notice anything suspicious, call 999 if an incident is in progress. Alternatively, you can call 101 or fill out an online Webform.
