Bucks resident David Sivers new book named 'Die in the Dark' is released TODAY on Amazon. The crime thriller follows two detectives around the Aylesbury Vale while they hunt for a missing person.
David, who lives in Pistone, has already written six books in the popular Archer and Baines series set in Buckinghamshire's Aylesbury Vale, and Die in the Dark is his tenth title overall.
David explains why he decided to choose Aylesbury Vale as a location for his books: "You know, I was once told you can’t set gritty crime fiction in a nice rural area, but I think the Vale offers the best of all worlds: that stunning Chilterns scenery, small, intimate villages, but also the more urban sprawl of Aylesbury Town – although I must admit that Archer and Baines’s Aylesbury is maybe a little darker than the real thing."
He tells us the places in town you can spot in his new book: "Quite a bit of the action takes place in the centre of the town, so readers will spot the Odeon cinema, the Waterside Theatre, and also the statue of Lord Charles Compton, overlooking the market square."
