Bucks Council have launched the 'Respect Me’ Campaign in an attempt to protect patrollers from rising levels of abuse, aggression and danger from drivers.
Abuse and dangerous driving at school crossing sites are on the rise after schools reopened to all pupils in March.
Corinne Randall who is bucks councils school crossing patrol supervisor for Aylesbury Vale, hopes the public can give Lollypop men and women the respect they deserve.
"We hope that communities will continue to support local patrollers to do their jobs safety. We need drivers to be patient and considerate, after all, it's only asking for a few seconds to make sure everyone crosses safely."
Drivers must stop when they are shown the STOP 'lollipop' sign, failing to do can lead to a £1,000 fine, three penalty points and disqualification. Vehicles must also stay stationary until the pole has been lowered and the patroller is back on the pavement.
