HS2 have hit a speed bump as their lorry route application on the A422 has not been approved by Bucks Council.
They say they were unable to approve the route due to a lack of relevant information and the Council's concerns about the impact of increased large HGV's movements on the A422 Brackley Road.
The junction of the A422 with the A43 near Brackley, which is just over the border in Northamptonshire, was a particular cause for concern for the council, as the potential added congestion could cause tailbacks on the A422.
HS2 have appealed against the Council's decision not to allow the applications and this will now be considered by the Planning Inspectorate.
