Bucks council have officially launched their latest initiative, The Big Bucks Tidy Up, which aims for a cleaner greener and safer bucks.
Following the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, a new scheme has been launched to make visible improvements to the look and feel of Buckinghamshire’s roads, streets, parks and open spaces.
The council aims to do this by introducing lots of new projects in the local area, and they want to bucks community to get involved too.
They have even injected a cool £300,000 of extra funding to get The Big Bucks Tidy Up off the ground.
The project started off with The Great British Spring Clean during May and June, where, over 50 local volunteer groups from across the county took to the county’s streets, parks and open spaces to carry out their own litter picking efforts.
But that's only the beginning, as bucks council are planning more events across the county, from renovating community play areas and skate parks to sign and bin replacement.
