Bucks Council's Mental Health Helpline open 24/7 over Christmas

They want to remind people that if you’re feeling low this winter and not sure what to do to feel better, talking to someone is the first step. 

You can call the 24/7 Bucks Mental Health helpline on 111, The Samaritans on 116 123 or get in touch with their Safe Haven service

Bucks Mind mental health services have also shared that their telephone services will be closed from the 23rd of December until the 4th of January. 

Most of their services are open up to and including Christmas Eve (Friday 24th December 2021). They will then be closed over Christmas and New Year, reopening on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

The exceptions are:

Befriending: Open up to and including Friday 24th December, then closed until reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Community Link Workers: Open up to and including Friday 24th December, then closed until reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Counselling for AdultsCounselling sessions will be delivered up to and including 22nd December, then closed until Monday 3rd January. The service will resume on Tuesday 4th January.

Employment SupportOpen up to and including Thursday 23rd December, then closed until reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Friends in Need: Open up to and including Friday 24th December, then closed until reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Mind the Gap Open up to and including Christmas Eve and reopens on Tuesday 4th January except on Wednesday 29th December and Thursday 30th December, when the service will be open. Groups are open to MTG and Wellbeing Services group active members, however spaces are limited, and pre-booking is essential.

Older Adults’ ServiceOpen up to and including Thursday 23rd December, then closed until reopening on Tuesday 4th January.

Safe HavenClosed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day only.

Suicide Bereavement Support ServiceOpen up to and including Thursday 16th December and reopens on Wednesday 5th January. Any referrals received will be contacted as soon as possible once the service reopens.

The admin office will be closed from 20th December until 4th January. Any referral received after 20th December will be contacted as soon as the service resumes on 4th January 2022.
