As queues continue to build at petrol pumps across Bucks, the ambulance service for our region has pleaded with motorists to stop panic buying.
South Central Ambulance crews have faced delays as it’s taken so long to fuel-up.
They’re urging motorists to follow the government’s advice to only buy petrol or diesel when they really need it.
And if they have to join the queues, to leave enough room to let the ambulances get through.
They say "It's been another busy day for our services. Every day our amazing 999 and PTS crews and our volunteers routinely use petrol stations to refuel vehicles so that we can continue to get to our patients. Today they have joined the queues with others to refuel which on some occasions has taken some time. Please could we encourage everyone to follow Government advice and only refuel should you need to. If you do find that you need to join the queue at a station please ensure that others, including emergency vehicles, can continue to pass."
