Business community group funds new security system in Aylesbury

The area around St Mary’s Church in the Town's Centre has experienced a spate of Anti-Social Behaviour over the past few months, and now a new CCTV system has been installed thanks to Aylesbury Business Against Crime.

The cameras have recently been installed and the area is now being monitored for the safety of the residents and visitors to the area. John Watson Board Member said: "We are extremely proud we can assist with this project as this location has been of concern for some time, I’m pleased the board could assist the church and the local residents to hopefully make the location safer by assisting with the installation of a full CCTV system in the area".

Father Zimmerman from St Mary's said; "As a community of faith, located at a prominent position within our town, we have a tremendous number of people who walk to and/or past St Mary’s Church. As a large property in the Town Centre, we have had numerous issues with Anti-Social Behaviour. We are so grateful to ABAC for their support in the ability to document, and hopefully reduce the occurrences of these issues. We see this addition to our security as an act of love and care for our neighbours"

Aylesbury Business against Crime is an organisation solely dedicated to Aylesbury towns businesses to combat crime and antisocial behaviour and intelligence gathering. The board works on their behalf by coordinating contacts across the town sharing various items of intelligence to tackle some of those characters who interrupt the running of our town and upset the local community who are affected by their activities. the company is a private organisation.
