Charity Buckinghamshire Mind have launched their new 3-year plan

The local mental health charity, Buckinghamshire Mind, has launched its ambitious new three-year strategy named: ‘We Are Buckinghamshire Mind’.

Buckinghamshire Mind consulted with and listened to a wide range of stakeholders including those engaged in services, staff, volunteers, commissioners, funders, local Minds, national Mind, and other statutory and voluntary organisations.

Their collective experience and knowledge contributed to the formulation of the new strategy.

They have credited the struggles and triumphs of the pandemic on a their new outlook for the new strategy.

Three golden threads emerged from the consultations; the importance of being inclusiveinformed and agile. These shape the ambitions of the organisation and run through everything the charity does.

The strategy contains five key statements of ambition related to PeopleImpactEngagementSustainability and Resource. Future planning and activity will fulfil at least one of these ambitions and decisions will align with Buckinghamshire Mind’s golden threads.

Andrea McCubbin, Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire Mind, said:

“The team at Buckinghamshire Mind is delighted to launch our strategy, which outlines our ambitions for the next three years. This provides us with a clear focus at a time when the future is still uncertain and lays the foundations for continued success. People need more support that offers choice in how it can be accessed and received. A lack of early intervention and timely access to services will result in more severe and more complex need in the future.”

Philip Bruce, Chair of the Buckinghamshire Mind Board of Trustees, said:

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to say ‘thank you’ to all Buckinghamshire Mind colleagues and volunteers for all their hard work, courage and curiosity. I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the people who use our services, for helping us on this journey. Working together, we will hold on to what we have learnt as we rise to the challenges ahead.”
