Buckinghamshire Council has submitted a planning application for the Princes Risborough Southern Road Link (PRSRL), and as part of the planning process people will be able to have their say on the proposals.
Feedback can be provided by going to the Buckinghamshire Council planning portal and searching for application reference: 22/06910/R9FULE.
The PRSRL scheme is the first of three phases of the Princes Risborough relief road – which is a key piece of infrastructure to support the planned expansion of the town.
Once completed, the new relief road will:
- provide a complete alternative route to the existing A4010
- connect the expansion area with the town
- support the delivery of new homes
- ease congestion on existing roads
Martin Tett, Leader of Buckinghamshire Council, said:
"The Princes Risborough Southern Road Link project is the first phase of the Princes Risborough relief road. It is a key piece of infrastructure which will support the delivery of new homes to the north-west of the town.
"Following a successful bid by Buckinghamshire Council, the first phase of the new relief road is being supported by £12 million from Homes England.
"Subject to planning approval and land acquisition, construction on site is proposed to start from Autumn 2023 with completion in late 2025.
"Please have your say on the project proposals by going to our planning portal."
The application will go before the council's Strategic Sites Planning Committee to be determined.
