Aylesbury’s Queens Park Arts Centre is holding a special free open day in September, giving members of the local community a chance to discover everything it has to offer.
On Saturday 11th September QPAC will be running a wide variety of free art and craft activities for all ages, including pottery, painting, jewellery making, woodwork, textiles and mixed media.
There’ll also be entertainment in the venue’s Limelight Theatre with performances from resident companies including routines from the students of the Susan Diane School of Dance and storytelling from the performers of Unbound.
In addition to taster activities and live performances, there’ll also be a chance to view a brand-new exhibition in QPAC’s Artisan gallery space, and browse a wide variety of handmade art and craft in the gallery shop.
The event is being held as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days initiative, and so rarely seen material from Queens Park’s archive will also be on display detailing the centre’s incredible 40-year history.
Queens Park Arts Centre’s Open Day takes place on Saturday 11th September from 11am to 3pm and is free to attend.
