Dragons Den comes to Bucks!

Yesterday, The council hosted their 1st ever Dragons Den-style Green Schools event in partnership with Buckinghamshire Skills Hub and local green technologies companies Lunaz & DMC.

Teams of Year 12 pupils from The Buckingham School, The Grange, John Colet School & Waddesdon School pitched innovative & creative green technology ideas to a fierce panel of judges!

The pupils all wowed the Dragons, who fired tough questions to help test & develop their green, technical, business and creative skills.

On the panel were Cllr Anita Cranmer, Sarah Murphy-Brookman, John Macilwraith, Ruth Farwell from Buckinghamshire Lieutenancy, Buckinghamshire Business First Head of Skills & Business Support Heather Dean & U19 Skills Manager Marina Jackson, Kieron Salter from Digital Manufacturing Centre Chief Executive Office and Lunaz Process Controller Jack Levy.

Waddesdon School were eventually announced as the winners for their innovative 'Re'Cycle' pitch to install Re:gen bikes in the school gym as a solution for heating & electricity by producing more renewable energy.
