Fire crews tackle house fire in Aylesbury

The ground floor of a house was left damaged by fire in Aylesbury.

Firefighters were called to Finmere Crecent on Thursday afternoon after the fire broke out under the stairs of a two storey house.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • One covering jet
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke
  • A thermal imaging camera
  • A short extension ladder
  • Small gear

The ground floor of the house was around 10 per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.
