Emergency services have been tackling a fire in Lowndes Way, Winslow (18/9/24).
A mini digger caught fire in the area where gas engineers are working. The fire started at around 6:20pm, with some residents from nearby homes and flats evacuated to the local school hall. Some homes were also without gas and electricity until around 6am on Thursday (19/9/2024).
We spoke to Yvonne O’Hara, who lives in Scott Evans Court, and was one of those evacuated.

We are aware of an ongoing incident at Lowndes Way, Winslow. We have had officers onsite and have been liaising with emergency services and affected members of the public.
