Workshops are happening this week to co-design a new walking and cycling route around Aylesbury
It's all part of plans to improve connectivity and biodiversity as the Garden Town continues to grow.
The 18km orbital path will encircle Aylesbury and link it with surrounding villages, providing a fully accessible route for walking, wheeling and cycling, encouraging play, active lifestyles, food growing and outdoor leisure as well as being a haven for wildlife.
The first round of community engagement took place towards the end of last year, with this next phase giving people the opportunity to listen to some of the feedback received so far and to join online conversations that will focus on the specific sections of the Gardenway.
Information gathered from the co-design workshops will be then be brought together to finalise the proposed route.
Cllr. Steve Bowles Aylesbury Garden Town Strategic Board Chairman and Cabinet Member for Town Centre Regeneration said: "I'd like to thank everyone that has already given their time and got involved with sharing their ideas and thoughts. We had a tremendous response from our first round of engagement and we are now looking in more detail at different sections of the Gardenway. So why not visit our website, see which section is nearest to you and share your local knowledge to help co-design the Aylesbury Gardenway."
Tonight's meeting will look a the South section from Wendover Road to Oxford Road. All the joining details are here.
