PC Hannah Ransome, of the High Wycombe Stronghold team, said: “The Stronghold team will continue to proactively and robustly target and prosecute offenders linked to drug-dealing. County lines drug dealers target the most vulnerable in our society and we remain absolutely resolute in our determination to remove them, and their drugs, from our communities and protect victims."
It comes after yet another man has been jailed for drug offences in High Wycombe.
Sonachi Obasi, aged 22, of Invicta Grove, Northolt, London, was sentenced to three years in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (22/6).
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely crack cocaine and heroin, and one count of possession of criminal property.
At around 11.40am on 22 January, an officer observed two known drug users at the top of the alleyway that separates Castle Street and Priory Avenue in the town centre.
The officer then witnessed Obasi walk from the direction of Priory Road onto Priory Avenue where he then entered the same alleyway.
After a few seconds, Obasi re-appeared with the drug users, one of which thanked him.
The officer asked colleagues in a marked vehicle to stop-check Obasi.
When Obasi saw the marked vehicle, he ran away on foot into the town centre, down the hill of Priory Road, but he was detained in a business premises.
Officers located a quantity of cash on Obasi and a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin along the route he ran.
Obasi was arrested initially for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
While being transported to custody, officers conducted enquiries at nearby hotels and identified the one where Obasi had been staying.
Staff gave consent for police to enter Obasi room, where further class A drugs were located, along with scales with residue, a blade for preparing wraps, cling-film and a large quantity of cash in bundles.
