Man convicted of drug offences in High Wycombe

A man has been convicted of drug offences in High Wycombe.

Rashran Francis, aged 28, of Hithercroft Road, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to one count each of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin at High Wycombe Magistrates Court yesterday (7/8).

On Saturday (5/8), officers witnessed Francis engaging in a drug deal and he was detained under S23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Following a search, cash and drug related paraphernalia were recovered from his possession.

Officers later conducted a search of Francis’s home address where a wrap of cocaine was located, along with bicarbonate soda, cling film and sim cards.

Francis was arrested on Saturday and was charged the following day.

Following his plea, Francis was remanded and recalled to prison for the remainder of a previous sentence which was for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A.

Francis is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court for sentencing on a date to be confirmed.

Investigating officer, PC Matt Pepper of the Stronghold Team based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Francis was caught with drugs in his possession and it was clear he was looking to profit from the sale of class A.

“We will continue to take strong action on drugs, investigating those who deal drugs and bringing them before the courts to face justice.

“Members of the public can play their part in helping us to remove drug dealers from our communities by reporting information to us, so we can use it to build intelligence and take action.

“Anyone with information can contact us by calling 101 or by making a report online.

“If you do not wish to speak to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and they will take your information 100% anonymously.”
