Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a road traffic collision on the A404 in High Wycombe.
Between 6.10am and 6.25am yesterday morning (4/10) a collision occurred involving five vehicles and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) on the A404 southbound carriageway between the Handy Cross Roundabout and the Marlow exit slip.
Tragically, a man aged in his fifties, died of his injuries at the scene.
A woman in her thirties sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Lyndsey Blackaby, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the man who has tragically died in this collision.
“They are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
“We are in the early stages of our investigation and are still trying to establish the full circumstances.
“Therefore, I am appealing to anybody who was driving in the area at the time of the collision and has any information that can assist this investigation to please get in touch with us.
