Funding is being allocated from the 2021/22 Police and Crime Commissioner budget towards protecting rural communities in the Thames Valley from crime.
The Thames Valley covers hundreds of square miles of countryside, including large areas of Bucks, encompassing many small towns, villages and isolated communities. Many people in these rural communities can often feel marginalised and vulnerable to crime so this funding is designed to ensure that they feel thoroughly supported and protected.
It’s not clear exactly how much will be given, but it will go towards building trust between residents and the neighbourhood policing teams.
