Beaconsfield Golf Club’s plans for a new driving range have been approved by Buckinghamshire Council.
Planning officers said last week they accepted drainage, landscape and ecological management plans for the new facility.
The club based on Farm Lane, Jordans, had to provide further details of the driving range development after its main plans for the facility were approved in May of this year.
Floorplans show a nine-bay driving range, with an additional teaching bay, and a teaching studio, as well as a ball wash and dispenser room.
The club’s plans said the facility was designed to provide a ‘visual link between the new structures and the traditional style of the main clubhouse’.
Typical practice facility features such as high fencing and floodlights would not be part of the development to ensure the ‘serene and picturesque environment of the club is maintained’, according to the plans.
No additional parking was proposed as part of the driving range development, while its opening hours were proposed to align with the club’s usual hours.
Plans read: “Maintaining good relations with local residents is paramount. This development has been planned to uphold the club’s reputation as a considerate and responsible community member.
“Integrating the new facilities aims to create a seamless extension of the club’s offerings, enhancing the overall experience for members while preserving the essence of the existing club environment.”
Plans said the driving range would be located 100m from the main car park and 200m from the clubhouse.
