No arrests made following arson incident in Amersham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of arson in Amersham.

At approximately 2am on Wednesday 19 February on White Lion Road, two offenders have attempted to set fire to a white Mercedes AMG Line, but fled the scene after being startled by a member of the public. 

At approximately 5.50am on the same day (19/2), two offenders returned to the same car, and set it on fire.

The first offender is described as a man of a mixed ethnic background in his twenties, of a slim build and approximately 6ft tall. He was seen to be wearing a light coloured hooded jacket and was carrying a green jerry can. The second offender is described as a male in his twenties, approximately 5ft 11ins tall and wearing dark coloured clothes.

No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer PC Anna Kaczowka, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about this arson to please come forward.

“If you have CCTV cameras in the area or if you were driving in the area with a dash-cam, I’d also ask that you check your recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
