Parents living in the Jansel Square part of Aylesbury are being asked if they knew where their children were on Friday evening after reports of anti-social behaviour.
Aylesbury police are now gathering evidence and working with partner organisations to establish what powers they have to tackle the problem.
They'll also be paying a visit to the parents of those involved.
Officers say it’s clear that some youngsters have no respect and little understanding of the impact their behaviour is having on their local community.
