Outbuilding destroyed in fire

An outbuilding has been destroyed by fire in High Wycombe.

Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe and one from Beaconsfield were sent to Finings Road in Lane End yesterday evening.

There was a fire in an outbuilding attached to a two storey property on arrival.

The firefighters used:

  • Four sets of breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reel jets
  • One main jet
  • A short extension ladder
  • Small gear

They also isolated the electric and oil.

The outbuilding was 100 per cent destroyed by the fire.

The two-storey property was ten per cent damaged by fire and five per cent damaged by smoke.

They reinspected in the early hours of the morning to check for hotspots.
