Police appeal for witnesses to machete assault in High Wycombe

On Sunday (20/2) at around 12.50am, the victim, a man aged in his forties, was involved in a confrontation with three men on the forecourt of the Jet petrol station on Micklefield Road.

The victim started to walk home with his partner when two vehicles, one believed to be a silver Audi, pulled up behind him.

One of the offenders thrust a machete towards the victim, causing a large cut on his lower arm, before returning to their vehicles and driving off.

The victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for further treatment having suffered a potential chipped bone but he has since been released.

The offenders are described as Asian men wearing balaclavas.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Tulloch, based at High Wycombe police station, said:

“I am appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in this area at this time to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information should call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43220077637.

“Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
