The demand on 999 and 111 services are at levels normally only seen at the New Years period.
To try and combat the pressure, they have redeployed clinically-trained staff into frontline roles, and given extra training to staff so they can work on the phone lines during this busy period.
The service have also thanked their staff and volunteers for continuing to provide quality care in these challenging circumstances.
People are being urged to ensure they only use 999 for life-threatening emergencies and 111 for urgent medical advice.
