Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses to assault and dangerous driving near Beaconsfield

It happened on Sunday (20/3), around 3.40am in the car park of the services at junction two of the M40.

A grey Vauxhall Corsa was driven in circles before being driven at and colliding with the victim, a man in his twenties, and then leaving the scene.

The victim suffered a broken rib, causing a partially collapsed lung, a cut to the head plus grazes and bruising.

He was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for further treatment but has since been discharged.

This followed an incident earlier in the evening involving the suspect and the victim’s friends.

The offender is described as a white man with medium length, brown hair.

Detective Constable Emma Calow, based at Amersham police station, said:

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault or have information about it to please get in touch.

“Also, if you were in the area around the time and have a dash-cam, I’d also ask that you check the recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

“You can make a report by calling 101 or via our website, quoting reference 43220121145.

“Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
