As the Diwali Festival of Lights returns to Aylesbury after being held virtually last year due to the pandemic, the organisers are asking for support from the local community.
With a shortfall in funding for the event, organiser Poonam Gupta says there are many ways businesses and individuals can help:
"If you can help in anyway whether its through donations, you can sponsor, you can give us a raffle prize. Maybe its something you're connected to, it could be on the inclusive side of things, or the education side or the heritage side, we'd love to hear from you."
The event has got bigger over the years, and Poonan told Bucks Radio there is space for others to come forward and ensure the festival continues to be a success for years to come:
"We'd like to see people and volunteers coming forward, we need help with committees because its something that'll grow year on year, and its a community focused festival and its the people that are the heroes so we want everyone to come along and enjoy and be part of it!"
The Festival of Lights is due to take place on Saturday the 13th of November from midday until 5pm.
