The Aylesbury Scouts are on the lookout for new volunteers to join their ever expanding community.
And after lots of children wanting and waiting to join the Beavers (boys and girls aged 6 to 8), Cubs (boys and girls aged 8 to 10), Scouts (boys and girls aged 10 to 14) and Explorers (boys and girls aged 14 to 17), they are now looking for more volunteers to help with demand!
Lead volunteer Nigel Taylor told us:
"We have so many children who want to join scouting and we can't take them in at the moment. We have so many young people knocking on our door saying they want to join learn new skills, so we are desperate for more volunteers to help us"
"We need people with a wide range of skills - you could be working with a 6 year old beaver scout, or a 16 year old Explorer Scouts. You could helping look after the finances of a group, maintaining their headquarters, or managing volunteers. So whatever skills you have, we can find you a role".
If you're interested in helping out the scouts, they are hosting an open evening, this is being held on Tuesday 10 August from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at Bedgrove Scout and Guide HQ, The Paddocks, Aylesbury, HP21 7AH.
