They're back - oh yes they are!

Two panto favourites will be returning to Aylesbury in Aladdin this year, with more announcements to come.

The Aylesbury Waterside Theatre will welcome back Andy Collins  and La Voix as part of this year's cast.

Last year they proved it would take more than a pandemic to get in the way of belly laughs, slapstick and their trademark interaction, tickling the ribs of pantogoers aged 1 to 101. Andy’s loveable silliness and relentless energy onstage has fast become a staple part of Christmas for many families across Bucks and beyond. Often found warming up the masses on hit TV shows including Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Britain’s Got Talent and Celebrity Juice, he will be playing Wishee Washee and speaks passionately about the importance of panto:

‘It’s needed! Live interaction, making memories with family and friends – these are the things that the last few years have taught us matter. I never tire of seeing happy audience members and welcoming local schools and groups for many of which this might be their first experience of live theatre. I feel incredibly privileged to be back for another year at the stunning Waterside Theatre. Treading the festive boards with La Voix again is nothing but an honour, and we’re already planning what we can do to make this year’s show the best yet!’

La Voix is a much-loved comedian, singer and larger than life personality, best known for performing her one-woman show in theatres across the globe. She first wowed TV audiences when she reached the semi-finals of ITV1’s flagship entertainment show Britain’s Got Talent, receiving 4 yes's, a judges standing ovation and 500,000 YouTube hits in the first 24 hours. After her subsequent appearance in “Ab Fab The Movie”, La Voix has received international acclaim.

La Voix is currently completing the 5th year of her smash hit, international, one-woman theatre tour, having just completed 2 years of her own BBC Radio show, and later this year will make her solo west end debut at the Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue. 

La Voix barely stops for breath between stand-up gigs and live band musical concerts…except of course for panto,  and she tells us there is much to look forward to this Christmas:

‘I am so excited to be playing Widow Twankey – not just any Twankey, but the most glamorous Twankey there has ever been! Every year myself and Andy are blown away by the warmth of the festive audiences, it really is the most special gift. I’ll be back doing what I love this Christmas – expect sparkles, magic and a whole lot of vivacious fun!’

Panto genie-us is on its way. Expect family fun by the lamp-load, stunning costumes, sensational song and dance numbers, and an adventure full of memories to treasure.
