A busy day for our fire and rescue crews yesterday as in just one evening they were called to 3 separate fires in High Wycombe alone.
At 5:18 PM, they attended a fridge on fire in Wyndham Avenue. The fridge was located in a ground floor garage which was attached to a house.
The firefighters used one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan. They isolated the gas supply, and requested the support of the electricity provider as a main supply cable was damaged.
Then at 9:58 PM, they assisted police officers after a car caught alight on Coates Lane,at the junction with Hughenden Boulevard.
Three people were cared for by South Central Ambulance Service, and the incident was left in the hands of Thames Valley Police.
And just half an hour later at 10:22 PM, they went to Sands Industrial Estate on Hillbottom Road as a unit was on fire, The two-storey building was a blaze due to a fire in a bin.
The bin was removed from the building, and the firefighters used one hose reel jet and positive pressure ventilation.
All in a days work for our hardworking Bucks fire and rescue team.
