Witnesses sought following assault in Tring

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Tring.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Monday at the Dolphin Square.

It is reported that a man was assaulted with an object, believed to have been a knife, and suffered injuries to his arm.

The suspects then made off on foot in the direction of Frogmore Street.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were subsequently arrested at an address on suspicion of GBH. They remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Sergeant Paul Burton, who is investigating, said: “I would like to re-assure our community that this was an isolated incident which we are taking very seriously. Our enquiries are continuing at this stage, therefore, we are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact me directly at Paul.Burton@herts.police.uk.”
